The Pathwork® of Self Transformation, Eco-Psychology, Creation Spirituality, the "Great Story" of the Universe, the shamanic widsom of the world's most ancient cultures, and the mystical traditions within the great classical faiths, inform the programs offered at the Earthwalk Center. Each of these teachings have practices that help us find our place in this great Cosmos and our connection to the ground of being that it arises from.
Our goal is to recover a numinous and sacred nature, including our own, so we can become enfused by the life, light and love all around us; so we can know in our own experience, the presence of Spirit in all things.
The Pathwork Guide explains that we all sense and long for another, more fulfilling state of consciousness from which to experience life. This longing is like an evolutionary beacon calling us into our birthright. As humans we are yet sapplings, but encoded and enfolded within us is the mature oak tree of our becoming.
Because we have become lost and scrambled in various ways, sometimes the journey is begun out of our suffering or life crises. Sometimes we see the darkness within us and realize it is that which keeps us from the larger life we long for. Sometimes the work involves reaching out into our potential, sometimes that is scarier than we know. To become all of who we are, we need to clean out all that is within us that blocks our unfolding, mostly that which creates fear and separation.
The programs at the Earthwalk Center are like practices of self-midwifery, through which we learn to give birth to our greater and greater selves, and heal all that is less than that.
At the Earthwalk Center, we work experientially, with our feelings, thoughts and prayers, with our bodies and senses, and with the natural world around us.
There are three primary subdivisions these programs fall into, but they often overlap and augment each other.
These three main arenas are 1) The Pathwork of Self-Transformation 2) Natural Communion experiences 3) Expanded Consciousness experiences
